Spectating Guidelines at SGC

Dear Parents,

Following our decision to allow parents to return to spectate this coming weekend, I wanted to get in touch to highlight the rules we will be following in line with Government and National Governing Body guidelines.

  1. Parents can support their child – this is a change to guidance and we ask that you avoid forming groups, but instead spread yourself out around the boundary edge. We don’t want parents or staff to be put in a position where they feel uncomfortable.
  2. Parking will be available in the front car park and parents should remain in their vehicle until the scheduled start time of the game.
  3. Could you please refrain from driving around the College site to drop off and adhere to the drop off zone at the front.
  4. Please then proceed carefully through the College site to the fixture (map of venues).
  5. Hospitality will not be provided at this point and we ask that you use the external toilet facilities in the Farm Pavilion.
  6. Each team will have a designated base and this area is designated for the pupils only.
  7. We will review this system after the fixtures this weekend and will update you with any changes before the matches on the 12th June.
  8. Spectators will not be allowed onsite for any midweek fixtures. This will be reviewed when the Government shares the next phase of the ‘Roadmap’ which is likely to be on Monday 14th June.

This is the first opportunity that we have been able to welcome parents on site in order to support fixtures since March 2020, so we are just as excited as you are! I am also sure that you will appreciate that we have set up these safe systems of work with the sole aim of protecting the well-being of all parties and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation accordingly.

Fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,
